MAV Tech Audio Visual Museum and Theatre
In 1911 the Foxton Borough Council built the Coronation Hall on this site. When this was destroyed by fire in 1926 it was replaced by the present building and renamed "The Town Hall". It has been used as a picture theatre from 1911 until the present.
Todays collection represents many years of work by the late Peter Edwards who was active in the running of the Museum until a Board of Trustees took over the management.
The Foxton Horse Drawn Tram
The sound of the horses clip-clopping their way around the streets of Foxton brings back fond memories of earlier years. The tram operates on weekends, usually Sunday, weather permitting, when volunteers are available, and at other times by arrangement.
De Molen Windmill
This is a full size operating Dutch Windmill. It is open to the public 7 days a week and allows visitors to experience a little of Holland. Tours of the working parts of the Mill are conducted and souvenirs and "milled flours" are available for purchase. This is a must see attraction. Click on the "Community Organisations and services" link and navigate to "Organisations" to read more on this national feature available only in Foxton!
